I've got the same gun in blued. After a few thousand rounds I've only had one stovepipe. I found the trigger pretty rough on mine so I bought a new sear from rimfiresports, it was a huge improvement for very little money.

Hey Ghostie... that's the same one I have... the muzzle flash is actually pretty decent too if you can go shooting early enough for it to still be a little dark
Very fun gun.

Put some CCI Stingers in it and you get a huge muzzle flash and quite a bang to boot!

I have one like yours DLC only it's got the 10 inch bull barrel. After shooting it for 10 years I decided to dress it up this year and spend a couple bucks on it.

Packmyer grips, weaver mounts and bushnell trophy 2-6X scope.
Put a drop of loctite on the front sight as was mentioned earlier, they have a tendancy to come loose.
I shoot 100 yard silhouette with the 10 inch bull barrel. Works very well.
Also, they sell a thumbsaver for loading the clips, awesome.

Good choice. It was my first .22 pistol as well. Don't lose the assembly instructions....
