We are three Canucks going to the World at Orville which is just outside of Amiens. It is our best sporting clay shooter in Canada (show me who has won or placed top three at more NSCA major events in the past twelve months), junior Shawn Stitt, Pierre Dubois an myself. It will be my third trip in a row to Orville. last year was the Belgian Championship (yes Belgian as they have to use steel in Belgium and not France) and the year before was a sellout crowd for the Euro.

Pierre and Shawn have arrived and have even shot today. I will leave tomorrow on the new A 380. I got Le Domaine du Clos St Lambert to open on Tuesday for some International shooters, as it is usualy closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It held the French Nationals last weekend. Everyone was estatic of the targets. They have 10 parcours!

Orville is a very varied terrain that was fought over during both World Wars. Most of the parcours will be on virgin grounds.

Most of us are staying in Amiens, a gorgeous city. Others are staying in Arras, another smaller city. The lat times I was there, I got to visit Vimy Ridge which was AWESOME. It is a piece of Canada in France and was given by the French as a thank you to Canada. All the personel is from Parks Canada! I also visited Albert with its tunnels and small fort. I saw many cemetaries. Very depressing.

Anyways, we are off to the goog food and great wine countries, yes I am also going to Italy. I am visiting RC near the Adriatic coast. So, Iget te best of the best, French and Italian in the next three weeks.

Regards,
Henry;)

If re-incarnation is possible I would like to come back in your shoes.

So many good targets and so much good food and wine. Life couldn't get much better I'm sure. Enjoy.

Good luck to Team Canada

Cheers Keith

Keith, DINK! We spend what we make to be able to enjoy the different cultures, customs, wayS of life as well as targets and other shooters. One gets to meet the great, the not so great, the well travelled and just the regular hard working guy or gall. It is at every such even,t a priveledge to be there and meet all of these people enjoying what one enjoys!

BTW, over the past 20 plus years, I have seen a dramatic change in the French mentality vis-à-vis the tourist or customer.Somehow they have realised that we are their bread and butter. No tourists= no Euros! They are all so pleasant and helpfull now even with Americans! I saw the girl at the SIXT car rental staton at CDG deal with the poor linguist of the Venuzealan team. Every creedit card was rejected except for two and they needed two vans, two or three alternate drivers for the then shooters plus staff. It took 45 minutes. She was clam and helpfull. WHy were the cards rejected? WHen Chavez nationalkised several INternationaly owned industries, same industries put pressure on International banks!
