World's Largest (fully functional) Revolver.

There are bigger revolvers than that.

Eaxactly what I was thinking. The picture appears to be of a Mauser BK 27, as used in the Tornado and Eurofighter.

AFAIK, the largest revolver cannon ever built were the 42mm Red King/Red Queen prototypes:

The largest revolver to have actually entered service is the 35mm Oerlikon KDG, as used in various anti-aircraft installations.

I'm still wondering what type of primers they would use on that giant 1858 revolver.

Some type of blasting cap from a demolition company, or something homemade?

Try doing a "Mogadishu drill" with that one (or even a good old fashioned double tap).

Not much need for a double tap with that. I think you could call this the ultimate stopping round. Not sure you would even need to hit the target, the concussion alone would probably do.

Black powder isn't that hard to light up. My own guess is plain old musket caps, maybe spiked up a little bit with a special formula.
You don't want that blowback jet of gas to have too large a port and possibly shove the hammer backwards.

maybe

Ryszard Tobys.
A fine gunsmith from Poland. Amongst other things, he's built two prototypes (slightly bigger, to scale) 45ACP Radom VIS handguns.
