Worth of a 1911 Colt .45 Gold Cup National Match

1911 Colt .45 Gold Cup National Match, stainless model.

It dates back to the mid-80s, super clean, barely used.
I am looking into making an offer on it, but I wonder what would be fair, in today's market...

Any ideas?

IDK, but check the gun for looseness and rail peening or other damage or cracks. I have a '90's gold cup stainless that's I've owned since new and shot the crap out of it - easily 50K rounds if not more and it's super loose now. New it was $1.2K and I see similar newish guns going for between that and around $1.5 K. I would not buy another stainless 1911 based on how mine fared.
