I have several LA Winchester Model 70s outfitted with Bushnell 3x9x40 3200's - I am using Leupold STD bases and rings on these rifles and have finally realized that they do not allow me to mount the scope back far enough to shoot the rifles comfortably ( ok with a t-shirt at the range but very awkward when wearing hunting clothing during the fall and winter ). I refuse to use the reversible bases - I do not like how they hang out past the receiver over the magazine. Anyone else have this problem ? What are you using for bases and rings ? I would love to see some pics of leupold extension rings or Conetrol extension bases on a model 70. Thanks in advance
