My dog will be in heat when there is lots of snow on the ground so I am wondering is can I gather that pissy snow and use it as a lure for coyotes? Also and other tips for coyote lures would be helpful.

^ it's worth a try to gather up that yellow snow, don't eat yellow snow of coarse, but you might have something there! Let us know how it works out.

I was reading up on coyotes and it said the domestic dogs will be attracted to female coyotes in heat and they will lure them out to where the rest of the pack is waiting and kill them. also male coyotes with try to breed with domestic dogs when they are in heat. It seems logical that my #####es pee would be a good lure.

Collect the urine and do what trappers did when using the old leg hold traps, they put it on a stump to act as a scent pole which attracted the coyotes which would dance all around it while they left their own scent on the stump! They would place about 4 traps around the stump, you of course will not be using leg hold traps but if your scent pole is in an area that you can get a clean shot it may work!

Been there...done that...i used to take my female AUSSIE where I wanted to hunt...walk her around, till she did her THING. Then take her home and returned to hunt...it often produced...Used KITTY LITTER from a female cat also worked.

Had a coyote show up to greet my beagle in heat - definitely not a coincidence.

I have no doubt coyotes and dogs interbreed and would be attracted to each other when in heat, so yes the retrieved urine of a female dog in heat could quite possibly attract coyotes.
