That looks good to me. Its around minute of angle isn't it? I'm guessing those are 1" squares. How long between shots? Maybe it would be even tighter if you waited longer?

Looks like you are good to go. I suggest you practice shooting sanding and sitting. I practice sitting shots from both shoulders inc ase you get an opportunity on the other side and do not want to make a big fuss off changing position.

It looks fine, you need more practice. My groups look the same. Everything within 260 yds. has died in the last few years with me grouping like that.

If you're trying to evaluate a load while not using a solid rest, you're pissing in the wind. The load looks good, but unless you're shooting of a dead solid rest you can't know it for sure.

I'm a hunter,..not a paper shooter.

I am getting 200 yrd groups like that, maybe a touch better...

I don't have a custom barrel.

I also know I am not a great paper shooter.

I think your gun might be more capable than you are on an unsteady rest.

I will bet you could get those groups tighter with a good solid rest and taking all the time you need.

Personally,...I'd be happy enough and leave the load alone and continue shooting groups with the same load...

It's good hunting groups, for sure. You ned to try it with a good rest and better wind conditions if you want to find out how good that load really shoots.

Yeah, my load development at at 100 gave me a very tight group. Here is the 5 shot group of that charge:

Just wanted to see what I grouped at my Zero range. I did that with the same rolled up pair of coveralls for a rest, but better wind conditions. Just the ways guys are talking on here about half inch groups at 200 and 300 I figured I'd better get more input, I didn't think it was terrible, but what do I know!!lol

Well - Its the internet... Some people are quick to extrapolate things. They get lucky and shoot a 1/2 in group at 100 y, next thing that is mentioned is that they can shoot the same group at 200 y or more. One guy on the board here announced that he can shoot deer at 800-900 y with his Rem 7600!

if you can get similar groups sitting or kneeling offhand then anything with 300yds is in big trouble. When load developing though, a solid rest and little wind is the only way to really be sure.
