Wow different ammo does make a difference!

I have a new 10/22. I do admit there is a learning curve on them.
I have an su22, cooey and sav btvs 22. I have told many people about trying a bunch of different ammo and see what your gun likes. I know my group size were effected by different ammo. However all the ammo I've tried in the non ruger guns cycled fine.
Now with this new 10/22 adding a dlask 8", titanium extractor and power custom charging handle
This gun wouldn't cycle mini mag, AE, win superX
I had a half a box of dynapoint, omg
0 cycle issues! Groups well too!
I've put about 300 rounds though it before the dynapoint. Maybe it's just breaking in but I'll say I'm alot happier now that it's working.
Ammo test, can't say it enough!
 
Hey right on, I have the Dlask 8 inch too. Take a video and you can really see the muzzle blast, that's pretty neat. It sure makes the 10/22 a real barker

I'm stock extractor/handle, VQ target hammer and poly bolt buffer.

I smoothed out the receiver and bolt with very fine sandpaper(1000). it's made the gun silky smooth, like a sewing machine. Cycles everything but Vipers.

Funny it won't cycle Mini-Mags, those are kind of known to be one of the better cycling ammo's. They have a really easy to cycle round shape

For me AE 38 gr, is my go to ammo for plinking, that and 333/555

I have only heard excellent things about dynapoints, but apparently it's not the blue boxed one's but the White box? (I might have that turned around). I have one white box for testing purposes and it's been great

I bought an ati telescoping stock (glued at 26.5 inches) and cut it up to make one of the funnest plinkers I own.

Pretty sure it's the blackbox stuff (Dynapoint GT). I've never tried the whitebox stuff but have heard a lot of negative stuff.
 
Ah Ok right on, I have a box of the crap

Makes sense, I saw it at Wallmart and had never seen it so I picked it up for testing.

Now when I see the black box I will snag some to check it out

I've got an 8" Xtreme and I hate it.More trouble than its worth.I'm probably gonna send it back to Dlask over the winter for a rechamber.Anything Winchester doesn't work.AE not too bad with the occasional stovepipe,CCI SV not too bad with the occasional stovepipe.I also polished and radiused the bolt,TacSol extractor,Kidd charging handle assembly.
 
I think the extreme is the one with the tight "benz?) chamber, that's rough. Those are fussy I hear

I have been stunned what my regular 8inch can do with the red dot. I can hit tin cans all day at 50/75/ and 100 . That's a big improvement from the stock 18.5
 
The first time I tried mine I forgot my earplugs.Holy crap is that thing ever loud!By the time I was done my first mag my left ear was ringing like a beeotch.I ripped up a piece of paper towel and stuck it in my ear.The Xtreme chamber is very fussy.The last time I tried it I was using the Kidd -10% spring.I was just looking thru my book and the AE functioned pretty good with the regular spring so I'm gonna switch it back and see how it goes.

I have a Dlask receiver a DLASK 16.5 " EXTREME chamber, KIDD bolt & Charging handle and it will extract any loaded round or fired round, CCI Blazers, CCI minimag, CCI std vel, AE, WW power POINT, CCI Velocitor- befor I got the KIDD bolt not so good,
I had tried Volquartson Extractors, Tac-Sol extractors with no great amount of luck.
KIDD BOLT is the ONLY way to have success
