I was recently watching a post on YouTube about P14s and the guy stated there were only 225000ish (he had a more accurate number) Winchesters made before they were switched to the M17 production. So YouTube is not the best place to take numbers as facts so I am wondering how many WP14 have been made. I have one that's been milled (not by me) still has its ears but mismatched bolt so just a shooter, however the barrel is shiny and the serial would but close to the end of the run so that's at least something but it would be nice to now the exact number as it might be the last one off the line. Never know

I'm too lazy to dig out my books, but a quick Wikipedia search says:

Eventually Winchester would manufacture 235,293 rifles, Remington 400,000 and Eddystone 600,000, totalling 1,235,293 rifles

And they are talking about P14 manufacture here, not M1917 manufacture.

I'd suggest 225K is way off, unless he meant Winchester manufacture specifically.

Sorry about this but I neglected to put in that the number was for the Winchester production I have corrected it in the original post but thank you for taking the time to look up all the numbers
