my 58 was 699 from a CGN sponsor back then and I refuse to pay more for a surplus parts gun. the novelty will wear off for ppl who wanted the ak look.

There are way too many choices at $1500 price range eg. like new tavors are around 1700-1800 on ee. used SL8 is even cheaper. Not saying how good these options are but they sure beat the 58s

Where did the idea come from that theses are rebuilt guns? Barrels and receiver are new manufacture with newly sourced parts from CZ.

I wish people would read the year old Westrifle thread.
 
It is not chromed like the original military 58s . It is done to lower the cost. Go figure.

Hey folks, remove this if it is not appropriate. ( Reliable )

These are not ours.. we did not sell ours off to West Rifle. We still have ours, they are being produced into WR762 Kodiak "858" type rifles by Kodiak thanks to cooperation and assistance of Westrifle. Please do not get them confused. These are West Rifle's product, and they have put a tremendous amount of effort into getting the work done for producing these.

That could be a kick ass smart move. Cost of getting new receiver and getting gun back together could be a cheaper option
 
Too many whiners here, I will buy one just because it has proudly made in Canada stamped on it even though I have a few of them. Thanks.

Yep you're more than confused. I could explain it to you but why don't you read the Westrifle and Wolverine forums on these rifles and you can figure it out for yourself. Your posts have been facepalmed for a reason.
