WRAS will be hosting a new shooters orientation on Sunday March 30 @ 09:00 ( the website shows 10:00 that will be edited). The orientation will take place at the Spruce Grove Gun Club (www.SGGC.ca). All those wanting to shoot with WRAS this year are encouraged to attend, as well as returning shooters as some of the rules have been changed. Immediately following we will have a weapons sight in to blow the dust off that AR you have been relentlessly dry firing all winter!

See you at the range!

With all due respect to our friends from Ontario, the WRAS organization puts safety and responsible gun ownership at the top of their priority list. We have many Canadian Forces and Law Enforcement members who shoot with us and would expect nothing less.
The fact that a WRAS volunteer has chosen a word or two you don't like is unfortunate, but lets not make a mountain out of a mole hill here.
2014 is going to be the best organized and communicated year WRAS has ever had. All of us are looking forward to it! We need to all pull together to make their efforts successful!
I wish all active gun owners in Canada had a group like WRAS working hard for their shooting enjoyment.

Whats the website address? I will not be able to attend the march 30th meeting but woud be nice to attend an other one if possible.

SGGC

Copper jacketed lead core is allowed.
Ferrous metal jacketed lead core is allowed.

Steel core is not allowed.
Lead core with ferrous central core / penetrator is not allowed.

This is one of the mandatory requirements of the CFO that enables the SGGC rifle ranges to operate, so if you or your guest are found with ammunition that is not allowed your membership will be reviewed.

The magnets and bolt cutters are at the ranges to help check ammo. Touch it to the magnet. If the bullet (not the case) sticks, you will need to cut a bullet in half to determine if it is a ferrous jacket that is sticking or a ferrous core / penetrator that is sticking.
