Just a question, is the written portion of the firearms test for restricted and non restricted open book? I am taking both next weekend.

What these guys said, pay attention in class and ask questions if your unclear. Make notes for yourself in class, you won't be able to use your notes but it helps you remember and you can use it to study before you write the test. If your aware of what your doing the test isn't hard. Read the questions twice before looking for the answer.

When you do the practical take your time, watch the barrel direction. Don't point at the instructor :O

Good Luck, make sure you come back and brag about passing!

If you get a good instructor, they will sorta hint hint wink wink let you know whats on the test. Don't worry... it's easy if you pay attention!

All multiple guess questions but the majority are basic common sense ones, the other questions may include firearm action types, safe storage, firearm safety, transportation and ammo types. Most people in my class were done in under 30mins or less.
