Hey Wrong Way, that old Cooey you gave me is unbelievable, it is ugly as sin and I was owing you a pic of it with duct tape! Over the past two days I have filed the bolt so it doesn't come out everytime you cycle the action, I peened the front dove tail so the front sight doesn't fall out when it is turned sideways, accuglassed the action into the stock (yes, still the stock with the big crack in the side, somewhat visible in the pic). Since the front furrel is missing on the stock I decided to use utility strapping and a #6 wood screw instead of duct tape. I used lapping compound on a round head screw to repair the crown, had a nick in it plus all the rust, the bore looked great after some JB bore bright and a patch or two of Hoppes Benchrest and replaced the rear sight with a Lakefield 64B sight but lost the wedge somewhere. Here is the 25 yard iron sight using Yellow Jackets 5 shot group. Elevation provided by a matchstick. I am impressed, ugly as sin and yet still a great shooter.
