WS MCR Daniel Defence RIS 2 compatibility

I am wonder has anyone tried to mount the Daniel Defence RIS 2 system to a WS-MCR upper? I am just curious if anyone has tried how it went.

Are you saying you tried it and it was a waste of a RIS 2 or are you saying the whole idea behind the post is a waste?

I am wonder has anyone tried to mount the Daniel Defence RIS 2 system to a WS-MCR upper? I am just curious if anyone has tried how it went.

I thought that almost all AR-15 based handguards were incompatible with rifles using the AR-180-based gas systems because of the extra clearance required by their gas piston systems. I thought/think the only exception (?) is the Sterling Arms R18, which uses a rifle-length piston.

That's my understanding, but I could be wrong, though.

[edit] - I read a little further and apparently some AR-180 designs are low enough to allow AR-15 handguards to be used (possibly including the WS-MCR) , so you'll have to wait on someone who's done the replacement to let you know. Sorry to mislead.
