Good Morning,
Looking for information on loading WST for 124gr 9mm loads. Does anyone know why Winchester stopped listing WST for 9mm? Burn rate is very close (if not the same as N320)? I contacted Winchester and they replied with no load data available. Another question, does the length of barrel effect peak pressure in loads? Are the pressure's listed in manuals the same in a 5" handgun as in a 18" carbine? My understanding to date with barrel length is a gain of 25fps per inch of added barrel but what about pressure?
Thanks so much,
Shawn

Tagged for interest.

I have a few pounds of WST left over from my shotshell reloading days, and 9mm could use it up.

My Hornady reloading book (volume 1) shows loads with WST and the 124 grain bullets.

Winchester never Published a load for 9mm and WST

wsf they did

There is load data for 45acp and 40SW and 38 special ....... no data for 357 mag

Maybe the pressure spike at the upper loading is not safe

I think WST is entirely suitable for 9mm. But amongst my many reloading manuals, there is no listings for it.
So, an ambitious & curious reloader might extrapolate a suitable load by looking & comparing other similar powder burn rates.
Then selecting that powder that most resembles WST & trying a couple of loads, keeping in mind to stay away from & avoiding maximum powder loads.
