Hi guys, looking into my first 22lr semi purchase and it is between the savage 64G (wooden monte carlo stock and iron sights) vs. A Remington 597 with iron sights.
Will eventually use a scope
Dont care for marlin, mossberg or 10/22 so not an option.
Like the free floated barrel on both, monte carlo wooden stock is a nice fearure in the savage just not big on the magazine and takedown procedure.
Remington would have just basic synthetic stock but hoping the jamming issues are resolved with newer versions
Overall Looking for accuracy at 50y and reliability. Have my 22lr mark ii which is great! Now need a semi
with tax 281 for the savage and 270 for the remi.
Suggestions?
