WTB WW2 scope for my lee enfield

Agreed,
It is not cost effective to fit one of the No.32 scopes with it's proper base to a non-sniper (T) Lee Enfield. There is machine work involved in fitting the pads for the mount, nevermind that the sopes and bases are now fetching well over a grand when you can find them. E-bay is a good bet for finding a scope. Peter Laidler, the man who wrote the book on the no.32 scope sells rebuilt scopes on E-bay, but he's certainly not giving them away!
The sensible thing is to put on a good civvy scope using a bolt on mount to avoid having to drill and tap your action for the bases as this destroys any value the rifle has. If your rifle has already been sporterized then go for it.
