WTK: Polish origins of MG-42

I don't think it really matters these days anyways. Should Poland try to reclaim part of Ukraine and Lithuania ? I don't think so , in the Unified Europe borders don't mean much anymore and people of Europe should look to the future leaving the messy past behind. Don't we have enough of the terrible past , don't we have enough of the blood soaked soil of Europe and for what... for claiming rights to this or that piece of land.....C'mon
and if Stecke was Polish or German I really don't care.............

The designer was Dr. Grunow. And the rifle was in the design process before the outbreak of war. All Mg34 production was ended long before the end of the war except by brno, this was because they needed it for vehicle mounts. Ithink production was 17500 units per month and it stayed at that level for a long time. so I guess if they needed more they could have built more. Anybody can go into wikipedia and edit what it says.
Yea deffinatly was still being produced. They were mounted for AA, and coxial MG's on almost all german armour, very few Tanks, IFV ect. mounted the MG42 minus the Puma Armoured car, some hanomags, and a few others.
