WTK T marking on ar15 uppers and rails

Ok guys i think i know the answer but...
How do the MFG get the T markings on the ar15 uppers and well as the forend rails ect.
is it just laser engraved?
if anyone know for sure how its done let me know
I have somthign that be powder coted that i want done with T markings.
Or does it have to be anodized?

BBB,

some are laser engraved andsome are stamped in with paint applied afterwards.

Anodizing will leave a better surface to "paint" vs powder coating. Either will work though.

Thanks thats a good thing ive just not had anything powder coted before so i guess ill have to do a test on one.
