And a lot will depend on if it's all "original" as opposed to "matching". Helps if it has the correct magazine(s) with it as well. It might also command a premium if it has some "providence" with it. [i.e. papers showing when, where it was issued, to whom etc...]

P.S. What I do find ironic amongst the collectors of authentic Colt 1911's that the predominant issue when regarding 'value' is condition. The irony is that a 'pristine' 1911 would have had very little practical use. Maybe issued to someone who rode a desk or stored in a foot locker. While a well worn one, if providence could be proven, would have seen the "real action". If only these oldies could themselves talk... :shock:
