I'm reading a quite in depth article by Jim Dickson 'The Return of the Krieghoff Luger' at the moment.
He details the unique requirements of proper spec'd ammunition for WW1 Lugers.
I never put that much thought into the 9 x 19mm round. WW1 Luger P08's wanted a mild primer over a slow powder to function properly. Whereas Browning's designs wanted speed and a hot round to work properly.
I've begun a small Steyr-Hahn collection. I am now wondering if they have any unique needs to function as they were originally designed?
I've a 9 x 19mm Steyr-hahn bbl waiting at home too, like gold I'd say!
If anyone has any thoughts or knowledge please speak up, I'm listening.
And I'll be sure to post a pic or two in days to come.
