ww1 German m1917 helmet

Inherited an m1917 German helmet with no liner. Shell is in vg overall condition. Wondering if anyone knows approx value.

The value on an M17 could be $25 to $25,000. No joke.

There are many factors, please PM me or post some photos.

Is the liner intact? Is the chin strap intact? How's the paint? Condition? Original paint? lots of questions

Plain jane helmet with no liner about $200.00, for some reason WW1 helmets sell for a lot less than WW2 ones.

I paid about $150 I think about 5-6 years ago for mine. It's battle damaged and has most of the original paint, but it is just the shell.

But like what pcvando said, they range in price considerably depending on where you look. I hope you like what you have, or if you mean to sell it, I hope you get what you are asking for! Good luck.
