Hi folks!

New to this..so cut me some slack...lol!
Have WW1 S&W .455 revolver with leather case and WW11 RAF Swift training rifle (22cal) in original wooden box looking to sell both...no price as unsure of value?

Looking for direction, suggestions or buyers?

thanks

The vultures circle above the dying prey as the daytime desert heat approaches, then breaks, the hundred-degree mark...........

No, really, friend, it ain't that bad.

Most of the guys on here are pretty honest and most of them know a LOT more than I do regarding "value". I am an old-time collector and student of the things and I really have no idea of dollar value, so it's best that I don't put my flat foot in here and mess up the waters.

One thing I WILL say is this: check the S&W very carefully for MARKINGS which can give provenance on the critter. A Navy N, a marking such as one I saw a few years ago (32 SQN RFC) or even a NAME in the holster in period-correct ink can tell you a lot and increase the value greatly. Just think for a moment on this: which is worth more, a revolver named to "W.A. Bishop, Capt, RFC"...... or one which you have no idea regarding? LOOK FOR MARKINGS. Serious.

Hope this helps.

I know that that revolver is desirable and there will be interest, but price can vary a lot according to condition so as fenceline said pictures will help people to help you.

I'm sure sight unseen most of us here would be comfortable offering scrap price for all of the above.Of course if you would like to get more than 50 cents a pound pictures would help.Post pictures in the Milsurp thread and quite a number of very knowledgeable members will chime in with fairly accurate evaluations. If you are comfortable with the prices that they tell you apply for access to the EE(Equipment Exchange) and list them for sale there.
