I was given a box of old ammo. One round has a wooden bullet and markings on the base of the case are " fer st 11 41". Case is smaller than a 303 but similar in length. Two rounds could be Carcano ?? - long bullet with a round nose - case markings "15 V" and a bunch of 1941-1943 303 rounds..case markings "K2 VII 1941", "CP VII 1942","DAC VII 1940", maybe an 8mm with case markings "P163 S {star} 14 35" and a 5 shot stripper clip with " IV S" stamped on the side. Any info is helpful. I also have a 10 ROUND [2 FIRED] box of sporting cartridges .303 British manufactured for Cogswell & Harrison Ltd, Cannon Works, London W.3, England {K1/63]. Price on box is $1.97. Any ideas on manufacture date or is K1/63 the kicker. Got a bunch of WW1 303s but still looking through them all.

The wooden bullet could be a German practice round. The case definitely is. Is the wood bullet pink/red/purple?
If it's a coloured wooden bullet with a shoulder it is 8x57 practice. The headaramps reads 41-fer-St-11
41 being 1941
Fer is the manufacturer secret letter code.
St refers to steel case
11 is the lot number.

Fer is Metallwerk Wandhofen G.m.b.H., Schwerte/Ruhr, Germany

The second German ww2 round is the p163.
35 is the year
P163 is the manufacturer
S* means brass case
14 is the lot number

P163 is Metallwarenfabrik Treuenbritzen G.m.b.H., Werk Selterhof, Germany

Learning to read German cartridges and colour /bullet coding was very gratifying. They were such gibberish before. And still are to most. Got so interested I started collecting boxed German ammo and loose cartridges by headstamp. Lol

Is the primer annulus coloured? Green or red? Any colour on the bullet?
