I just purchased a few USGI accessories which got me thinking about taking some pictures of the accessories with my pistols. I thought I would share on CGN and encourage others to post their WWII M1911A1 related pictures.

Here is a picture of my newly acquired 1942 Milwaukee Saddlery M1916 holster, 1942 Nasco(?) pistol belt and 1942 Boyt mag pouch, along with a field dressing pouch (dated 1945):

Colt M1911A1 manufactured in 1942, the gun was shipped by Colt to the Springfield Armory on June 25 1942.

“W.B.” is stamped on the frame above the left trigger guard web –Waldemar Broberg, Col. U.S. Army inspector‘s acceptance marking.

The original rig holster is a Model 1916 light brown leather holster marked “CLINTON” 1918 F.W.T, also shown is a double magazine pouch marked R.H. LONG 5-18 ink stamped on inside flap.
The field dressing pouch is marked with U.S. on the front, with”MIAMI AWNING CO 1941” markings on the rear.

Three "Colt/ 45 Auto" marked magazines came with the pistol.

Purchased in March 2004 from the son of the vet that brought back the rig.

Also shown is a M1916 holster marked Boyt 42 with an Avery 42 mag pouch as well as an M3 holster marked U.S. /SEARS SADDLERY CO./1943

Leg-wettin' display of some of the worlds finest 'precious metal' ... and a hearty good show for keeping all these things in such good nick!

Bravo Zulu!
