One of my hunting buddies lost his father some time ago and is finishing the sorting out of yrs of stuff. He dropped off a few things that he has no want for."You're an army guy, you have them". One was a holster for a Webley 380, I think. The other, I have no idea.

The main pouch seems to be about 4x4 x 15(ish). Any ideas on what was supposed to go in to this one?

The holster.

Am I right that it's for the Webley 380?

Thanks for any help
Clint

Edit. After posting the pics, I now see the US stamp on the pouch. Don't know how I missed it before

The would be a pile of ammo. You can't see from the fuzzy pic I took, but it's labelled " Right". So with another 'mag pouch' WOW
Thanks
Clint

Don't think it was for mags. they would rattle, and I assume soldiers would want their gear to be quiet. The Thompson mag pouches i have seen were warn over the left cheek and had multiple slots for the magazines, so they were kept separate.

My guess is that it might be for a walki talkie.

It is one half of the Model 1912 backpack. The Model 1912 equipment set was experimental and never adopted. there were enough made for troop trials. The two halves of the pack could be joined together and worn as a backpack or split and used as saddlebags for a mounted soldier. They are not common but are not exactly rare either. Item 150795121221 on ebay is a full set.
