I've been in contact with these guys via e-mail. They are going to be making stocks for the Remington 597 in all styles and color(s) - According to their e-mails from me. Wait time will be about 2 months I am told. They have some beauties. They have some nice Tactical's!
This opens up the custom stock market for 597 A LOT.

Be forewarned AJSP....
Richardson Microfit gun stocks has been around for a while.
Their reputation is at best hit & miss for quality and their delivery times have been know to stretch into 6 months.
Although they have beautiful looking stocks on their web page, I have heard many a horror stories with regards to unhappy customer purchases. :(

I have now used 3 of their blanks (2 profiled and semi-inletted)(1 rough blank-no profile,no inletting). Only one of them has been virtualy perfect(inletted one),the other two had color issues and the worst was a void in the lamination which was only discovered after @ 10hrs. of working on it. Long slow shipping and delivery(10 weeks before it was shipped) They are however very beautiful when finished. I will be making my own blank next time,the over $800. I've spent with them will go towards supplies and vaccuum press next time.
 
Heckler do you have any pictures? Honestly I'm not looking for a fancy one. Just an economy or grade 1. Looking to make a trapping/survival/SHTF .22. Was looking at the Boyds tacticool. Was going to hollow out the butt for storage as well as the bottom of the pistol grip. The Boyds and one of Richradsons looks like it will have some room for storage. Thanks!
