Very nice looking rifles! The only thing i'm not too keen on is the design of there plastic magazine follower. Otherwise a great rifle in a great caliber. As far as optics. Depends what you want to spend and what type of hunting you are going to be doing.

I have 1 in .308 and with the cheep 180grain federal hunting ammo it shoots 2.5inch groups at 300 yards with a warm barrel so with the boss system and match grade ammo it would have more than enough potential. Personally thats accurate enough for me. The only thing I found is if your using the half bolt possition and the triggers pulled it will pull the bolt down and firing pin forward. The way to get around this saftey issue is no1 using the safety no2 put the bolt all the way down then lift it back up to half bolt, this bypasses the problem mechainically. I really like how light it is and as a hunting rifle which is what its designed as I think it cant be beat

Oh as far as a scope goes if your hunting in BC the shots are taken within 50 yards, I'm sure you know. I got a bushnell elite 3200 tactical 5-15x40 as I wanted to get involved with the elevation windage temp humidity 'long range' maths sh#t but to be honest I'm yet to find a suitable clear cut that is over 300yards if i didnt hate ranges so much I could just go to 300yrd range in chilliwack but I dont think its the best training for hunting seen as you have a nice bench to rest on(never seen one of those out hunting) or perfectly flat ground to lye on with no obstractions. Anyways my 1c :-/

For the money I would HIGHLY recommend a Vortex Diamnondback 4-12x40 with BDC reticle. AMAZING glass for the money, a forever, no questions asked warranty and to top it off it's nice and light. Paying between 250 and 300 bucks for them right now. Not sure about the above post with a max of 50 yards though....if that's all the shots were a simple 4x fixed would be more then adequate. I also really like the Bushnell 4200 in whatever power and the Burris Fullfield II in 4.5 - 14 x 42mm, though it is considerably more expensive, it's a top notch hunting scope, better, imho then an VXII and comparable to any VXIII I have seen. Personally if you like higher magnification then go for it, but remember a 3-9x40 should get you where you need to go the vast majority of the time.
