These seem tantalizing- I like the idea of not trimming but theres no such thing as a free lunch. Are these a good option for my 308 norinco m14?

Worth a try, if you have the matching press, and need 308 dies.

I was interested in them too, but then I found out they changed the threads will only fit on their presses.

If the RCBS X die now uses a different thread that only works on their (RCBS) presses, then how do all other dies still work in RCBS presses I'm wondering where you found this out Conte?

Alomost all modern dies for normal size calibres use 7/8" thread that fits almost all modern presses. Large calibres like 50 BMG need a larger die and thus larger threaded press, and Dillons SDB uses proprietary dies, but other than the 100 plus year old Lyman/Ideal 310 tool design you won't run into many dies that don't fit standard reloading presses.

heheh yeah it screws in I just checked.

Anyways- back to whether theyre good or not. I have em and I also have a new lyman set not sure which to keep.

I have a couple of sets one for 300wby,300win and I use them without using them to stop the stretching as I found that I was deforming the very tops of the wby cases ,you could a slight bulge at the top but they still cycled ok but I didn't like the look so I just backed off the top part and continue to use it like a regular die ,never did set the 300 win up after experience with the wby, just using it like a normal die ,like Gunnewb says there is no free lunch the metal has to go some where.
