word is it will take .45 colt
and .454cassul...

personally I don't see the point of having something like that for a range gun (it was designed for hunting) .454 is expensive and .460 ammo must cost a fortune, ever if you reload it won't be cheap. I'd say if just want to shoot .45colt get a .45colt gun.



FYI the olny reason why S&W even made X frame is so they can compete with Taurus' Raging Bull models ;)

I guess it depends on what you want;

if you can afford .460 ammo and don't plan to shoot a lot, sure go for it. I guess you can shoot .45 in it but that's cheating :p

but if you just want a big bore revolver that is more affordable to shoot and won't brake your arm get a .44mag or .45colt
