x-mark trigger

How can a guy tell if his rifle has an x-mark trigger?

I have a Rem 700 SPS DM that I bought brand new. The rifle came with a tag hanging from the trigger guard that said it had the x-mark trigger....but....Everything I've read about them says they are externally adjustable. I see nothing on mine that would be adjustable from the outside.

I'm wondering if mine was accidentally shipped with the tag when it shouldn't have one. I actually like the trigger the way it is, so it's not a big deal, but it would be nice to know.

Anyone have a picture of theirs that I can compare to?

Also, I've heard them referred to as x-mark and x-mark pro. Is there a difference?

if it's one of the new ones you should see a set screw with allen head at rear of trigger (bottom). It's visible without removing action.

X-mark pro is externally adjustable, x-mark has to come out of the stock to adjust. If your not seeing a set screw on the trigger you have an older x-mark.
