Anyone ever buy from x-reload. The have a nice bulk deal on 9mm bullets for reloading. I like there 115 grain copper plated bullets. Do they ship fast? Are they nice to deal with? Also what is the difference of a jacketed bullet opposed to a copper plated if they are the exact same weight? I'm just wondering because my reloading book tells me to use different amounts of powder for each bullet.

i haven't ordered from xreload but i know many here do with good results.

plated bullets have a thinner layer of copper where as jacketed have a much thicker "jacket" of copper. jacketed can be pushed faster then plated but for 9mm i treat plated the same and used jacketed load data. be careful not to crimp plated bullets to much as the case mouth can cut into the plating and possibly cause some leading issues.

I buy my components almost exclusively from them. Great prices and you don't have to play the "do you have it" game on the phone. Wish more Canadian outfits had proper web stores...

I bought some 124 grain copper plated and there is no recipe in my LEE reloading data book for titegroup, but there is for the 125 grain jacketed. It says to start with 4.1 grains of titegroup for jacketed 125 grain and to never exceed 4.4 grains. Would it be safe to use 4.0-4.3 grains of titegroup for my 124 grain copper plated bullets. I'm new to reloading.

I've ordered several times. I wish they were local to me! Wait, no I don't. I couldn't afford to have instant access to stuff lol!

Bought my entire reloading setup from x reload, great guys to deal with. Fast shipping, ordered Friday and got my shipment Monday morning (interprovincial).
I'll do my future reloading purchases with x reload for sure.

Go to hodgdon's site for more detailed load data. Always get data from reputable sources.

I would start at 4gr, 1gr. Isn't going to make a difference.

As gman said check out hodgdons website for more load info.

I like Cci primers but any will do. Dominion primers will work good too and are cheap by today's standards. Federal primers work great for tuned guns with light hammer spring's. Winchester and S&B are also good choices for pistol stuff. My main reason for liking Cci the most is the small packaging. S&b has the same packaging.

Good web site. Good price. Fast shipping. Gave them lots of my money.

CCI primer for pistols.
Fed primers for my bulleyes revolver with lighter spring that has small % FTF on CCIs.

Titegroup 4.1 to 4.4 is good for plated.
