1. I have had no troubles with either.
2. Glock...G17
3. I really like my Ruger takedown bag. I got it on sale from Ruger for around $70 US I think
4. Also interested though I think aluminum case can be problematic in PCCs.

I have PCC9

It likes both Glock OEM mags and Magpul P-Mags. no issues at all with either.
but for cross platform capability a friend tried the P-mag in his pistol and they didn't fit. the were a tiny bit to short to catch.
So try the mag in the pistol 1st. If it fits there it will fit PCC9 as magwell is quite short
I like the pmags because i could afford to buy 2x as many for the same money, and they are rock solid.

for ammo. I have shot a lot of Winchester white box 115gr and it cycles fine.

for storage, i use a Canadian tire toolbox with some foam inserts. As long as toolbox is 21 inches (or more) it will fit. It might be tight if you have an optic though. The top tray holds my mags. Its a great grab and go set up! (if you want a picture send me a PM with details)

I guess the short story is that I am looking for a 9mm pistol/carbine system, with the Ruger PC Carbine as the base. I am considering Magpul P-Mags and a Glock 17 Gen5 to go with it... any additional thoughts?

try the pmag in the 17 first. If it works, buy lots they are great!

Is this going to be used on the range a lot or will it be more bug out?
-If its range use then look at a good red dot
-If its bug out look at the magpul backpacker stock

Ill let someone with the Glock 17 weigh in on as I don't own one.

CZ 75 Magazine adapter for Ruger PC Carbine

The Ruger Pistol Caliber Carbine includes a feature which permits the user to change the Magazine Well so that it may accept a different make of pistol magazine. These inserts are currently available for the Ruger American, SR9, and Glock magazines.
This simple and well designed feature inspired our team to develop a similar insert for the CZ 75 Shadow line of pistols.
Design Status: Design complete, Prototype tested, Manufacturing data complete

Production Status: Quotes obtained, Delay due to COVID-19
UPDATED: 2020-04-04
Projected MSRP: $TBD
(Distributor pricing available)
Kit Includes: Magazine Well, Replacement Button, Replacement Screw

I have a protype in my 2 carbines and it works well. really enjoying it. should be hitting markets this summer.

Ohhh, I've been waiting for that adapter. Their Instagram page stopped updating in June and had no idea what the status was.

I already have a CZ 85 so being able to simplify my magazines down to the CZ ones would be great.

Can you talk about it or show videos or is that under an NDA?

THAT is the carbine and pistol combination that I have been looking for!

I am very interested in that!

What will the magwell/adaptor be worth?

To the OP if you are looking for the best bug out bag for your new Ruger look no further. Google "Savior" gun bags. I have one for one of my carbines and it far and away the best bag I have found. It comes with backpack straps, two rifle compartments, two pistol compartments and enough storage pockets to keep your gun(s) in ammo for an extended period of time. The bag is heavy duty, well made and comes in several lengths. Given you are going to have it for a very long time the additional expense over some of the less expensive bags is well worth it. For under $150 you get what I consider the best gun bag on the market.<br>

Which model bag are you recommending Bob?
I checked out their website and they offer quite a few different bags that look like they would work well.

I guess I got what their website calls the American Classic. I am very pleased with the 36" bag. The time you load it up with all your stuff ie a small ton of ammo the damn thing does way you down LOL. I have to learn to restrict myself to the ammo I need for the day at the range as opposed to what the bag will carry or carry my ammo in an ammo box.

I thought the Amazon deal was pretty good given our dollar and the free delivery. I suspect you have experienced the same cringe when you add in the shipping costs these days.

Can-Down the urban ones look good as well although they say they are made using nylon vs the heavier polly material for the same price on Amazon.

Take Care

Bob
