Finally got out to shoot my new X95. Shot approximately 350 rounds, a bit of brass cased 5.56 but mostly cheap steel .223 and it ate everything without issue. The price is steep but I have zero regrets. Set it up with an Eotech EXPS3 which is great but I will get a Unity Tactical riser when I can find one in stock as the rail is quite low on the X95 so you really have to get a low cheek weld. Overall I am super happy with the platform and look forward to shooting it more.

They are great I have a fully modified one running a xps3 and 3x magnifier. and had to buy the T7 to go with it!

I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a magnifier but if I go the riser route it complicates things, also it is already a hefty gun

You'll find that if you change the butt pad out to the original slim one, the entire riser issue goes away.

There's a unity tactical magnifier riser as well...
X95s are great... and with a riser and the ability to do heads up shooting its even better.

I recommend getting the pistol grip for it... feels a lot better for myself. And while you're at it a Geissele lightning bow at the minimum.

The pistol grip, riser, and lightning bow are all at the top of my list but finding them in stock is the hard part

Huh? How so? If bringing the rifle closer towards your body while shouldered makes any difference in terms of optic usability I'd be shocked. It definitely didn't make a lick of difference for me. And besides... if you're having to cheek hug the rifle at all you're doing it wrong. Heads up shooting is where you want to be and if you're not you should be doing everything to get you there.

OP if you ever plan on shooting with night vision or while wearing a gas mask and if speed of target acquisition is important to you the riser is a must. If you plan on sitting at a bench and plinking then you'll be fine as is.

The slim butt pad lifts the entire rifle up on your shoulder. I can't comment about heads up shooting (never heard of it before), but I can tell you how the Tavor is to be shot.https://youtu.be/xJWXZwmFkfw?t=1

Don’t know if I’ll be shooting with night vision as I am not made of money haha but heads up shooting is definitely important to me so I will snag a riser the second I find one, DS Tactical has an FDE one but I want black.

You could always cerakote it if you can't find the color of your choice

On second thought I went ahead and bought the FDE riser. Saw another X95 with FDE accessories and I really liked it so I will go that route. I’ll post a picture after it gets it’s makeover.
