X95 light primer strikes

Was out at the range a few weeks ago and after firing my 5 rounds I started getting what seems like light primer strikes, never had this issue before.
Took it home to clean and function test it and everything seems fine. I do have a geissele trigger in it but its never be a problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

What kind of ammo was it (make/model/grain/year of manufacture). Did you try any other kinds of ammo?

How long have you had the X95?

Assuming charging handle not being ridden but it is pulled all the way back and let it rip? I had some issues initially with mine for the first 10-15 shots or so, but since then it's been fine with all sorts of ammo and I'm going on 1700 rounds or so...
 
If you baby the gun it won't run right. Let the bolt fly home, either hit the release when it's back or pull back and let the handle slip from your fingers to ensure you aren't slowing anything down.
 
I don't baby the thing, ammo isn't the greatest but I've used it before no problem.
Firing pin looked fine too...I'll have to take it out again to see whats up. I'll try a different ammo this time as well.
I've use pin PMAGS and LAR mags no issues as well...

Went out today and had no issues, used 3 different kind of mags, 3 kinds of ammo.
I think maybe I might have been ridding the charging handle, coming from C7/AR-15s is a bit of a learning process.
Getting used to the bolt release...lol

Glad to hear your experienced issues have subsided.

Yup, I had the similar experience when I first got my X95. Maybe it was how the charging handle was designed with some plastic on it that I was worried I'd snap or bend it or something so I rode that thing and of course rounds did not go into battery and I got the empty "click" a number of times. After getting used to the gun and getting good advice here, I now yank that thing back and let it rip - it's very satisfying - and it beats the awkwardness of the bolt release in the back (I know there's a certain skill/trick to develop to do it, but I'm not quite used to it yet - in fact, even if the bolt's locked back, I almost ever use the release - I just pull the charging handle and let it fly). Have not had a problem with it since the initial learning curve.

The one thing I will mention which I'm not sure if I did already (and I'm too lazy to check) - any ones bought since April 2020 - the bolt disassembly is slightly different or has an additional nuance and the bolt disassembly videos done 3+ years ago won't apply fully - they designed the bolt slightly differently - specifically the length of that rod - in order to support 300 Blackout. This change is fully documented.

As a result, that rod has to protrude a bit more than what the typical videos say, in order for that pin to come out. It's a very small detail that may get missed and owners may get frustrated they can't pull the rod out enough.

I had a snapped firing pin but I didn't know it until I stripped the bolt. The snapped off tip was trapped inside the bolt channel and so it was still striking the primers. Make sure to check!
