X95 MSW Return/Deactivation - Please Read

I must say that I’m happy that there are still people out there wanting to talk about this issue. I appreciate all of you, even you Cieferiro, and your opinions. I have always felt that our different views and positions are what make democracy a great thing. There doesn’t always have to be a right and wrong. Just being able to have the conversation is all that matters. Thanks everyone

Thanks for pursuing this in court Cbassman, I hope you are more successful then I was. It is interesting your court case is still in progress, they made sure and rush mine through here in supposedly firearms friendly Alberta

Fascinating and shocking detail revealed about restricted to NR conversions not totally off the books. Maybe this is exclusive FA plausible rifles?

Or this proves anything is possible and the crown will always come for you!

I mean if you converted it from R to NR the RCMP will still have that firearms info on file tied to you...with it being NR though we all know you sold it mere days later and gosh darn you can't remember who the buyer was
Sure… that works in theory but when you start to consider that a cop might kick in your door because a judge signed a warrant looking for a FA… the decision becomes a lot easier to make.

Yes, I was one of the first ones to file an appeal (S.74). At the moment we haven’t even had a pre trial hearing. They (RCMP) are trying to prepare redacted affidavit, publication bans, and consolidation of all the cases to be heard by one judge (a liberal one). I will probably be dealing with this for years to come, since it’s already been a year. Luckily there are some good lawyers and weapons experts on this case and from what I’ve seen the RCMP is scared because they were wrong. These firearms are and always were Semi auto and left the factory that way. Nothing about the MSW is Automatic. I’m just tired of waiting and I’m looking to get my money out of this rifle, since even when I get to keep it will never see the light of day lol. The sooner I can get my credit the better, since that 2.5K is worth half of what it was worth when I bought this firearm. Thanks Trudeau (sarcasm)
Good luck.
You should read my other posts about the MSW here on CGN.
You should also consider taking apart your rifle completely to the aluminum receiver insert and compare the MSW receiver to a commercial X95.
My two cents—save your time and money.

Thank you for your wishes. By any chance are your initials J.D. ? If so I believe that I have reviewed the decision that was made against you. Needless to say I was disappointed in the outcome, unlike the lawyer I’m speaking too who is using that decision in the argument that a publication ban is unacceptable as the public needs to be aware of how these alleged fully automatic weapons were imported into our country.

I must have read every post on here about the MSW. lol. Hours worth and I hate to say but it’s hard to go back and do it all over again.

If you would be so kind as to remind me which post you are referring too I would greatly appreciate it.

Something tells me that it has something to do with the receiver being able to accommodate a FA trigger pack or that it already contains the trigger and the only thing stopping it from going full auto is the selector switch. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I am curious what the differences/similarities are as I do not have access to both, just the MSW and the manual. I can see that there are a lot that these 5 X95 have in common but it clearly states that the MSW is a “semi automatic configuration”.

I would love to continue this conversation as knowledge is power and I enjoy the education.

Thank you

Anyone interested in selling their legally deactivated MSW, I am interested in buying a wall hanger. I'm looking for one with a flat top rail and square handguard, but won't say no to a round handguard model. Maybe I can help you recoup some of cost of this whole debacle.
