Any idea if Robinson Arms is thinking about a .22 conversion kit for the XCR? I'm sure these would be a great seller!

dunno but Robinsom Arms did qoute me prices on a 7.62x39 and 5.56 for the XCR-M then they backed out when they discovered I was in Canada.....saying more aless SOL unless they were mistaken somehow and though I meant xcr-l

They must have misunderstood, as there are no conversion kits for those calibers for the M model. They are working on a 243 conversion on it but still no ETA as to when they will be available.

Might be some 5.45x39 barrels for the XCR-L showing up at some point as well, but I know none of you guys would be interested in that.

So for the Xcr-L were confined to 6.8 spc and 7.62x39 currently, will the kits be on sale in the near future? $750 seems steep for them.

That gives you a complete barrel/gas valve setup, a complete bolt, a magazine and the brass deflector. Really not all that bad when you sit down and think was is included in the package.

Still... after taxes and shipping its pushing the price close to a grand.

i would be interested in a 5.45 x39mm if i can find some cheap surplsu ammo to shoot , shoot be a great varmint gun

No point in a conversion kit that cost more than another rifle. For $700 get a SR22.

I didnt know SR22 shots .223 REM or 7.62X39.
Lots of conversion kits will cost more than some rifle. There are some cheap rifle/guns out there.

This. Not that I would ever purchase a .22 conversion kit even if it did become available but having the option for quick conversion between any caliber they offer for the XCR at what I consider is a fair price has many benefits over just the conversion itself. Familiarity and memory with your platform, one time setup of optics, grips or whatever other items you fancy for your rifle. The modularity of the platform itself makes it a excellent choice in our little Canadian world of NR black rifles.
