XCR cheek weld

I have really been enjoying my XCR but i find the factory stock is too low in relation to the sight picture and i'm forced to raised my cheek off the stock to use my irons - thus contributing to my not so stellar groupings.

Has anyone else had this problem? What have you done to correct it?

I found the factory stock to be a mess as well. I put an AR stock on the ones that I had.

A Magpul CTR M4 stock with the Magpul 3/4" riser might resolve this issue for you.

I have settled on the magpul PRS stock. I find it also balances out the rifle quite nicely.

Of course you need an M4 stock adapter to get an M4 stock on, and the only one available right now (in any decent quantity) are the ones that drop the stock about a half inch down.... there are supposedly more "normal" ones in the work, but by what company I know not....

my adapter was the robarm one. It worked fine.

Another solution is to buy 3/4 inch pipe insulation. It will give you the weld you want. Once you feel it is comfortable, you can either leave it, glass it, or buy a stock that does that for you.
