I have attempted to contact Robinson regarding the repair but I have not had a response. I see that the parts are inexpensive on the website. I am thinking of just ordering the parts and having a local gunsmith make the repair. I would prefer to be shown how to make the repair. The rifle is less than a year old with less than 100 down the barrel. I have never owned a rifle like this but I do break it down and I have become familiar with it but please excuse my lack of knowledge as I am still learning.

1. Can someone recommend a gunsmith in the vancouver area.
2. Can someone let me know what parts I need to order from Robinson.

the story... I was at the range and on my 2nd mag. When firing the 2nd shot, the 3rd shot fired as if it were automatic. 1 trigger squeeze. I seperated the receivers and there was a piece of metal and a small spring laying in the lower. see pics.
thanks for your help.

Try contacting Wolverine - they have a terrific reputation, this should be warranty work. I'd suggest that repairing it outside of the warranty would be a bad idea. Even if it means you don't get to learn how it goes together. The term for what happened when you were shooting is doubling, never refer to it using FA - just to be safe, there have been legal implications regarding this.

thanks ian... ill give wolverine a call in the morning...
thanks for letting me know the reference... "doubling"... it was strictly a malfunction... it was just my description of what happened...

If you are using a digital camera... use the "MACRO" function for close-up pics; it's the option represented by a "flower" on most if not all digital cameras.

Very difficult to see what's going on (blurry).

~Cheers

I thought that someone from Robarms was a poster here.

That said...............I agree contact Wolverine. John will take great care of you.
I had the pleasure of sitting with him at the CSSA AGM Dinner last night. Great fellow.

Just replied to his email. To clarify for you all - Very, very rarely a part is not heat treated properly. In the last 5 years of shipping XCRs this has only happened a few times. I am sending him a replacement disconnect - free of charge, obviously.

It's not hard to put in. I'll email you instructions. =)
