Gents,
I am loving my keymod heavy barrel XCR and hoping to get a little more information. The barrel is stamped as .223. I found some references that the chamber is actually .223 Wylde, and if so, safe for 5.56.

Does anyone know for sure? Hoping Grumpy could chime in... or anouther XCR guru. I have looked a little bit, but am failing to find the confirmation I need to satisfy.

Thanks!

not sure about the new ones.... BUT.... the original ones were all made 5.56.

They stamp 223 because 223 is not a military cartridge and thus us untrustworthy beady eyed Canadians are allowed to have them.

I contacted Rob Arms and this was there response.... guess I am good to go.

###XX,
You are safe to fire 5.56 ammo from your XCR-L, it is true we do mark .223 for export reasons.

Thanks,

Holly Halverson
