Well, stupid me, I got some new snap caps, so I thought I'd play with my XCR for a bit. I was concerned about the snap caps fly all over the place and worried that I wouldn't find them, so I didn't rack the action back as hard as I should have. So I had a bunch of them stuck in various positions in the chamber. I had to take out the barrel to remove one.

I put everything back together and then everything got messed up. Some parts fell out, and I figured out that it was the extractor. Now there are three parts to the extractor it seems. I looked at this
http://xcr.robarm.com/L%20Assemblies.pdf and figured out what the parts were and how they went together. I was hoping to order some replacements but ran into a problem.

Now looking at this damned diagram, they seemed to have mislabeled a few things. For instance, there is no parts 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7. Note that there are some parts 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 which I assume belong to section 4.

Anyways, the pieces that fell out were the three pieces of the extractor. Now the part labeled 4.6 was actually deformed enough that I had to take a pair of pliers and squeeze it back into a circular shape from an oval such that it could fit back into the section 4.1 which they call the operating rod, but doesn't seem right to me.

I put all the parts together again and I think I got it right, but I'm still concerned since I'm new to this platform. I played around with the snap caps again and it seems ok, but I'm concerned that the extractor isn't very robust. Some of my snap caps are worn out and the tips are chewed up pretty good.

Anyways, let me know what you think. I'm guessing the worse that could happen is that the extractor fails and the spent cartridge will be stuck. It sucks because my range is an hour and a half drive away so I cant' test it very easily. On the other hand, I sure learned a lot about my XCR by ripping it apart and looking and figuring out how things work.

the only real way to tell if you put it back together properly will be to fire it, if its removing the snap caps no problem its probably fine though, worst case is it will be fine for a couple live rounds then may fail, in which case you'd have to try and reasemble the extractor again after removing the spent casing.
