XCR L hunting loads

Im going to load some rounds for my XCR, Im loading for coyotes. Any suggestions? What are you hunters using in your XCR? Im starting with Varget and 55 gr. Sierra BK's.

I am liking my Hornady V-Max 40 gr. with 28 grains of W748. Nothing too saucy, but it works fairly well and is accurate for me.

yeah, its a .223 that Im loading for. My scope is calibrated for 55-62 gr. bullets so Im limited to these weights.

Anyone shoot the heavier grain bullets from their XCR? 70 gr. and over??

BDC turrets/reticles aren't very useful. Unless you're shooting a similar bullet at a similar velocity to what they're cal'd for. With the adjustable gas system you can load whatever you want. You'll have to do your own load development but any quality 55 gr always shot well in mine. What are you hunting?

The reticle is specifically designed for an AR .223, to be honest I never shoot much past 200 yards anyway. Im hunting coyotes, wild boar and bobcat this winter.

I had good luck with IMR-4895 and 55's. Tac was good also and very clean burning.
