XCR -L rails?

Hello, I've just recently ordered an XCR-L .223 Keymod ,1in 8 twist, heavy barrel. I plan on mounting a scope and bipod. Do I need side rails to mount a sling mount?what use are side rails , other than lights ? Thanks...... Brian

I think the side rails are for lights, lasers and sling swivels. I think that u can get a keymod sling attachment, just not sure where. Maybe ctcs or wolverine.

was just on ctcs and they had the keymod sling attachment for 24.99 instock.
