XCR-M fast stock

Stock was fixed once by the store and failed again, as for #####ing, when i pay 3k i can ##### all i like, no one is forcing you to read my #####ing, No brainer ;)

Did the store perform the fix described or did they just reinstall everything with out remedial work. It sounds like this screw requires loctite to properly resolve the issue. Did the store apply loctite?

f55 I'm not sure why you feel insulted. The Boss of RA turns up to your thread and admits they have had some issues with early mass production of this stock. Of which you probably got one of the first examples. He then explains what the issue is and what can be done to rectify it. He also indicates that there are alternatives that are available. I appreciate that he didn't apologize but he didn't call you a hater either.
It might be that Wolverine Supplies can rectify this problem for you as it doesn't seem overly complicated to fix.

Because they should not send out faulty products, and there are alternatives yes, but i have to pay for them.

Either way im out 3k with nothing to show, so yes im very pissed.

I guess thats enough #####ing.

For what it is worth, I have three of the new FAS stocks on my XCR-Ls and they all seem to work fine. I would not mind a stronger spring in the locking mechanism, however I have had no mechanical issues at all. I like them alot and will continue to enjoy my XCRs throughout the summer.

I'm grateful there are small companies out there that have the innovative spirit and I'm prepared to support them as they have a couple of bumps along the way. My experience with RobArms has been all positive.

My opinion is that both the rifle and the stock are great products and I continue to vote with my wallet for the RA XCR. Deer hunting this fall...! I can hardly wait...

Bull####!!! You are not out 3k. It is a VERY simple fix to remove, apply locktite and tighten fasteners. Doesn't take any special tools or know-how. Wow man you need to grow a pair and learn how to pick up some tools.

Again the design is NOT faulty. It is an assembly issue not a design issue. Mountain out of a mole hill.

This.

Has anyone who owns the new XCR with the FAST stock tried putting a Quick Detach Sling Swivel into the receptacle under the stock by chance?

I bought a MidWest Industries Heavy Duty QD sling swivel & when I tried to plug it in, the damned thing don't fit. It's just way too tight, lol. I was under the impression they were more or less universal so not sure if the swivel is too big, the receptacle too small... anyone?

I am in the same boat. I bought a TIS quick cuff sling with flush cups (not sure of the manuf.) from Triad Tactical and it won't seat in the XCR. There is also a nice shiny ring at the top of the flush cup on the FAST stock where it looks like someone chamfered it after it was painted.

I understand the Daniel Defense option has limited rotation (45 deg?). Is this the case with your setup?

I am totally pissed off with the FAST stock too...

I ordered my OD green FAST stock for my XCR-L a while ago now and I do not have it yet what is with that whaa whaa whaa... :D

Now lets get this thread onto the right track...

Considering that we have both Mr Wolverine and kolob here how about supplying me with a 458 SOCOM conversion kit I'll even test it for you I have everything I will need to load the ammo except the brass.

Yeah Yeah I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but you can't stop a guy from dreaming... :)

Fixed

I have to apologies to Mr Alex Robinson, your fas stock isn't the crap i said it was, it turns out that the slide locking mechanism was installed upside down.

I also have to thank Wolverine for finding the issue and fixing it.

VanIsler, don't go nuts, no loctite was used, the fasteners not the issue and never were.

Hope to hit range this weekend.

:runaway:

Well glad you got it fixed. Enjoy your new toy.

Wow, all of the XCR bashing for nothing? Real shame.

Anyway, where are people finding these stocks? I cant find them on Wolverine or any other retailers website. I am considering and AR stock (have an adaptor already anyway) or a Fast.

I stopped and checked out a couple XCR-L rifles with the FAST stocks today.

They felt great can hardly wait for mine to get here now...

Well my XCR-M with the FAST Stock just crossed 1000 rounds today and FWIW - the stock and the rifle have both been awesome! Not a single hiccup or malfunction. And the only quibble I have is that the upper and lower came with a *very* small amount of play between them from factory. Don't think that is supposed to be there, but it does not seem to affect function or accuracy and I can be a picky bastard.

I would suggest that the internet "gurus" actually give this gun a whirl before bashing it unnecessarily. It is quite a hoot to shoot and almost as accurate as my LMT MWS 308.
