I'm thinking of getting an XCR and currently have an MR1. The MR1 I think is a top quality rifle with very nicely machined parts. Everything fits together extremely well ... she's tight!

Just wondering if the XCR has the same build quality feel to it.

Anyhow on here handle both? I've never held an XCR.

I have had my hands on both and the XCR is a nicely built rifle, but the MR1 is nicer in terms of build quality.

As for accuracy, issues and ergonomics there are many threads here on both guns. A simple search will find everything you need to know.

Yup, I've been doing the reading ... I don't expect better than MOA performance from XCR. I just don't want to get my hands on something that is more expensive but feels cheaper if you know what I mean.

My XCR, once I put a magpul stock on it, and a new grip, feel's anything but cheap. However, I personally feel those aren't 'optional' on the XCR.

The skeleton stock is a peice of crap, and the grip, while being an extremely affordable upgrade, was still mandatory.

XCR FAStock is the way to go.

IMO you can't compare an mr1 to an xcr in terms of "cheap feeling"

The XCR has a mono upper and a heavy barrel, metal sights, integrated trigger guard etc. my XCR feels more solid than ARs, and definitely more solid than an plastic MR1

This should be good...

If you could run an AR stock and pistol grip as options, it would improve it dramatically. It also needs a barrel shroud in the worst way.

Couldn't agree with you more with all of the above.

Of course, this is what the ARX-160 improves upon.

Another one that I've had my eyes on, waiting for in to come in as NR in..2015

You can find it ugly but show me a target @ 200 metres of your XR of 10 shots that is .9... JP.

Arnt you the guy that's always posting pics of your targets with these amazing groups. And are constantly being called out that you are bsing and to go to a match to prove these awesome groups were actually shot and the ranges you said they were.....but you never show....

Not trying to start s**t,id just be a little leary about taking any advice on the performance of a gun from a guy that has literally like 3 different threads in precision rifle section calling you out on your bs.All that said i may be completely wrong and you really are the best shooter in Canada.

Din't you post a picture of a target and at the ranges you said it was shot at ,it turned out being like a Canadian record making you the best shooter in Canada? i remember some guy calling you out on that.Again i may be wrong, but there really is an awful lot of posts about your shooting ability.Maybe they are haters ,i dont know.

As for the XCR.i actually made a thread about how much i hated my XCR(still kinda do) so you know im not being bias when i say i would take it over the MR1 any day of the week.

If the Tavor is the chosen one, will sure try to get the best out of it, is this not one of the big satisfaction of shooting, impressing you will be a bonus...Cheers. JP.

I love my Benelli shotguns, but there's something not quite right about the MR1. It looks like a kid photoshopped it. You would think that Italians could figure out a way to make a "military" rifle look great.

Owning the MR-1 in both the collapsable and strait stock, i do prefer a lot the strait one, better checkweld and it fell just right in my shoulder, same with both my M4... JP.
