I just checked my voicemail (I'd been out of town on vacation until tonight and hadn't checked yet) and there's a message there from Alex @ Royal Sportsman.

He's right at the top of Wolverine's wait-list for the XCR and he'd promised one to me right off the bat when they finally came in and he just called to let me know that they're on their way on Monday!! (which just happens to be my birthday - what better present then that, eh? :)).

Based on the price Wolverine quoted him he quoted me $1,900.00 tax-in but I think that's a special price, my guess is retail will be about that + tax.

I'm so excited, now I just need to figure out which of my non-essential organs to part with to pay for it. :( Or perhaps someone knows of some experimental drug trials that'll pay cash for human guinea pigs?

I'm hoping that mine will be one of the first received (other then by dealers) - I'll get darkestjedi to bring his really nice digi camera over and take some super-hi-res pics as soon as it comes.

cool man, are you on the list for a shorty or the full length one? I might just have to save up one of those bad mofo's after i shoot yours!
 
ya, what are the specs for the one you're ordering? Is it the same as the one they have listed on their site?

OK! Now if it is indeed a shorty, with the quick change barrel, could oyu buy a long barrel later and have it made unrestricted?

No update on the Robarm or Wolverine websites. The original message was posted in the early morning hours, APRIL 1 !

I hope this is true, but I'm going to have to call BS for now ;). I'll check back after noon.

C'mon - early AM hours on April 1st is when I found out about the elusive XCR coming to my door that no one's heard about?

On the truthful side I do have one 'waitlisted' - I'm not holding my breath though.

Oh, and it is my birthday on Monday so feel free to send me cash to put towards either a butchered SP1 or a CZ858 :)
 
Dude, if you receive a birthday present and it's ticking, you'll know we had a special collection for your birthday. Seriously though, you got me.
