XD 4" is it rescticted or prohib?

The factory says the barrel length is 4.05", so in my books (and the CFO's) that makes it restricted.
But when I spoke to P&D this morning they said that all XDs in Canada are the 5" model. Cause the 4" is too close to a prohib!!

Does anyone own a 4" service model? if yes, please tell me the status.

4.05 inch = 102.87 millimeter

A handgun must have a barrel length of greater than 105mm. The XD service model is prohib.

yep, it's prohibited

if you want a '4in' restricted gun get a Styer M-A1 or Taurus 24/7 both are 106mm

I am planning on getting a 4" XD 45ACP compact imported with a 106mm barrel installed...when I get some funds...

I'd start by talking directly to the Springfield Armory Custom shop. They'll build you a gun to specs.
