XD .40 mag in 9mm

I tried searching for this, but didn't see anything on it at CGN.

I'm wondering, would the same aspect of legislation that allows using LAR mags in any AR pattern rifle, apply to using .40 S&W magazines in the 9mm?

You can reportedly squeeze 15 9mm rounds in the Canada legal 10 round .40 mags.

ok, here we go again....the mag holds 10 rounds of 40 cal as it was designed...the fact that your putting 13 rounds of 9 in is of no matter, it's designed for 40, that's what the limit applies too.

they work fine, but will occasionally loose a round when you do a fast reload. they won't hold 15 unless they've redesigned them since i had them. The magazine is controlled, not what you put into it. If you "mis-use" the mag with 9mm, your not breaking the law, your being creative. shoot on.

Yeah it's just fine to do that. I had feeding issues with my Sig though and it really wasn't worth it for 3 extra bullets, and your last mag being like 4 rounds. It also worried the guy who let me borrow the mag, because people who don't already know about the legality of it can be sceptical of just taking your word for it. I would just get more 10 rounders and practice speed-reloading
