They are highly spoken of.A RWS 350 mag copy.Most parts are interchangeable internally except barrel.They need a piston polish,piston seal change and trigger job.Macarri spring and homemade guides and top-hat and they are great.The scope rail should be removed and cleaned then loc-tited down or they come loose.Get the .22 not the .177 they are now made in .25 but may not have reached Canada yet........read up on Kitchings yellow Forum.......................Harold..[.22 at 900fps and .25 at 670-700 fps]
I have a .22 cal bam xs-28, its all stock and i love it.. i dont think it needs the trigger job at all, thats the best thing about the rifle. i have shot about 300 pellets and its just getting better and better. You have to make sure all the screws are tight because they will work free. I have not had any seal problems, but i would like to polish the piston, but after reading i am not goiing to attempt it, i like it just the way it is...
after saying all that, i am not using it much at all these days and i am thinking of investing a hand gun, i might be convinced to sell it if the offer was right its in new condition. i paid 330 delivered to my house...

allrighty, thanks for the info guys. yea i think im gona try one, my local guy hear wants to bring some in and he wants someone to try one, before he orders a bunch. so he will sell me one for 225 tax in, to be the test pilot.

how do i check the main spring without taking it apart?
anything else i should do for maintenance? i completley maintain several rifles, but this huge springer intimadates me when i think about taking it apart.
i bought it when it first arrived in canada, and i think the shipping was 60 bones, then plus the taxes... i still feel taken, awe heck i have enjoyed it enough to have spent the extra cash...

Make a spring compressor and don't point it at your TV while disassembling.Mother in-law OK.To inspect it has to come apart.Check the piston seal as well for nicks /cracks.http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/ there are plans for a top hat and spring guide in here...........Harold
