Xisico air guns

They offer a wide range of airguns, ranging from junk to pretty good for the money. Overall they are like most Chinese airguns - with a little elbow grease from the owner they can perform as well as other guns that can cost twice as much.
Which model specifically are you looking at?

I was thinking of the XS-B28. It's 22 cal and Epps ad states that it can get 1200 fps. Would make an awesome squirrel gun if it's dependable and accurate..

Don't believe the manufacturers claims of 1200fps.
That said, the B28 is a very stout springer, and is capable of somewhere in the 900fps range making a lot of power.
Keep in mind that with all that power comes some pretty heavy recoil as well. Some guys love it, some guys hate it.
Not sure what epps is selling them for, but if it's close to $200 that's pretty fair. For that money it's tough to beat the build quality and power.

I purchased one of the B-28 and to date it's been the worst POS I've ever shot. To date it has gone back for warrenty work(internal problem), had to loke-tite down rear sight as it came loose after 25-40 shots, had to loke-tite screw under stock for trigger housing as it was almost falling out. Front sight has fallen out of hood, waiting for a replacement. Gun had to be stripped and clean in and out as it was covered in saw dust from factory. Besides that yes it is powerful, nice blued finish and stock. I would have spent twice the money if I had of known this was to be.

I own a B-26 and absolutely love it. With a tear down, light de-burring and lube tune up, some of the Xisco brand rifles are great shooters. Mine chronied at 660-670 fps which is plenty of power for .22cal and very accurate out to 50 yds. A great squirrel/rabbit rifle. The B-40, B-28 and B-50/51 can become great rifles with a little TLC.

I've been contemplating the purchase of one of the Xisco air rifles (22 cal.) and would like to know what would have to be done to one. Is there a thread or web page that shows what has to be done? One thing I'm concerned about is that very heavy spring. Sounds like a good way to get hurt if you are not careful. I would imagine some form of spring compressor is needed? I talked to one supplier and there's have a 2year replacement warranty.

Cheers. Steve.

Check the boards to the south I think Airguns of Arizona has plans for a h/m spring compressor or just google it

You can find plenty of info on aftermarket internals for air rifles by going to a forum dedicated to air guns. I found all the info I needed and many members are glad to help with instruction and details. If you're interested in taking your air rifle and modifying it to help it shoot smoother etc. PM me and I'll be happy to share what I know with you.
